CR3 is currently representing a leading social enterprise housebuilder dedicated to delivering high-quality, affordable homes across the UK. As they continue to grow, they are looking to appoint an Assistant Buyer to join their commercial team.

Role Overview:

As Assistant Buyer, you will play a key role in supporting procurement across a range of residential development projects. Working closely with the commercial team, you will help manage supplier relationships, coordinate material orders, and support efficient purchasing practices across the business.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the procurement of materials and subcontractor packages for housing developments

  • Raise and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely processing and delivery

  • Support the maintenance of supplier records and performance tracking

  • Liaise with site teams to ensure material requirements are met in line with build programmes

  • Monitor procurement schedules and contribute to cost reporting

  • Ensure compliance with internal procurement procedures and reporting standards

  • Support process improvement initiatives and commercial team collaboration

Requirements

  • Experience in a procurement, buying, or commercial support role within housebuilding, construction, or a similar environment

  • Strong organisational and communication skills

  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office and procurement/finance software

  • Ability to work well as part of a team and meet deadlines

  • A proactive and professional approach to problem-solving

  • CIPS qualification (or working towards) is advantageous
