Externals Contracts Manager

Cr3 are working with a well-established SME construction company with a strong presence across Buckinghamshire. This company delivers high-quality residential and commercial construction projects, with a growing portfolio and an emphasis on safety, quality, and timely delivery. They are looking for an experienced Externals Contracts Manager to join the team on a freelance basis. This is a hands-on role overseeing a range of external works packages, ensuring subcontractors deliver to high standards and that projects stay on track.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage external works including groundworks, drainage, paving, brickwork, cladding, scaffolding, roofing, and landscaping

• Coordinate and oversee subcontractor teams across multiple trades

• Ensure work is completed safely, on time, and to specification

• Liaise with site managers, quantity surveyors, and the client to ensure smooth delivery

• Conduct regular site visits and attend progress meetings

• Ensure all RAMS (Risk Assessments and Method Statements) are in place and adhered to

• Report regularly to senior management on progress, issues, and cost control

• Support in the procurement of subcontractors and materials where required
