The Opportunity

Due to sustained growth across the region, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team in Guildford. This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially astute professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is looking to develop their career with a recognised industry leader.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all commercial and financial aspects of multiple residential projects, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.

  • Oversee procurement and subcontractor management, from tender through to final account.

  • Conduct detailed cost analysis, prepare budgets, forecasts, and valuations.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies, contracts, and HSE regulations.

  • Work collaboratively with internal departments to achieve project and financial targets.

  • Provide accurate financial reporting to support effective commercial decision-making.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the housebuilding industry.

  • Strong commercial acumen and a clear understanding of construction contracts and cost control.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.

  • Knowledge of HSE regulations and current building legislation.

  • Confident managing multiple projects simultaneously.
