About the Role
CR3 are currently representing a medium-sized, design-led housebuilder based in Buckinghamshire, known for delivering high-quality traditional housing across the Home Counties.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Technical Manager to join a close-knit, well-structured team. Reporting to a Senior Technical Manager, you will take ownership of three live residential developments, overseeing all technical and design matters from planning through to completion. You’ll coordinate external consultants, manage technical approvals, and work closely with construction, commercial, and sales teams to ensure the smooth delivery of each project.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the technical delivery of 3 live residential schemes, ensuring programme and budget targets are met
Oversee design development, working with consultants and internal teams to achieve buildable and cost-effective solutions
Discharge planning conditions, building regulations, and technical approvals (S38, S278, S104 etc.)
Coordinate NHBC/Building Control submissions and warranty processes
Review and approve working drawings, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards
Support procurement and tender processes with accurate technical information
Liaise with local authorities, utility providers, and third-party stakeholders as required
Requirements
Proven experience as a Technical Manager within a residential developer or housing contractor
Strong understanding of planning processes, regulatory compliance, and detailed design
Background in architecture or engineering (either academic or professional) is highly desirable
Excellent communication and coordination skills, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach
